Hollywood Launch alumni, Ross Lynch from Disney’s Austin & Ally, plays a wicked air guitar with Jake from Radio Disney’s Celebrity Take w/ Jake. Ross also introduced his band mates from R5; Ryker, Rydel, Rocky and Ratliff. The band was also told that they have the #1 song on Radio Disney’s Top 30 Countdown with a billion hits.

Hollywood Launch’s Creative Director, Jonathan George of Jonathan George Entertainment, created the Youth Rock Awards. Recognizing top young talent under 25 in film, TV, music and dance, the Youth Rock Awards definitely made its mark as one of the hottest new award shows to hit the scene.

Cast members from today’s hottest films and shows turned up on the red carpet including TWILIGHT stars Tinsel Korey, Christian Serratos, Booboo Stewart, and Edi Gathegi; Disney’s Kenton Duty and Caroline Sunshine (Shake it Up), Blake Michael (Lemonade Mouth); MTV Awkward’s Jillian Rose Reed and Matthew Fahey;  ABC Family’s Cassie Scerbo (Make it or Break it), Chelsea Tavares (Make it or Break it), Renee Olstead (Secret Life of an American Teenager), Benjamin Stone (Nine Lives of Chloe King); Amandla Stenberg (The Hunger Games), Rowan Blanchard (Spy Kids 4), Ryan Ochoa (iCarly), Tiffany Hines (90210), Nolan Gould (Modern Family), Poreotics (America’s Best Dance Crew Winners), Melanie Moore (So You Think You Can Dance Winner), Tabatha and Napoleon (Fox’s Mobbed) and many others.

Hosted by the Massey brothers, Chris (Zoey 101) and Kyle (That’s So Raven, Corey in the House, Dancing with the Stars), the show carried an upbeat party atmosphere. Celebrity DJ Spark was a permanent fixture on stage keeping the crowd hyped with a continual party. Teen Wolf’s Tyler Posey and his band Lost in Kostko kicked off the show with a rocking performance of their newest single, “Somebody”.  The dance community was also represented with performances by today’s hottest dancers and dance groups from So You Think You Can Dance, Paula Abdul’s Live to Dance, and America’s Best Dance Crew.

Executive Producer Jonathan George of Jonathan George Entertainment stated “I created this show to pay homage to the amazingly talented young singers, actors and dancers who continually entertain us on a daily basis. They deserve to be celebrated.” Some of the winners include TWILIGHT: Eclipse, which won two awards:  Rockin’ Ensemble Cast in Film; and Booboo Stewart (who starred as Seth Clearwater) won the award for Rockin’ Sidekick TV/Film. Teen Wolf also took two awards: one for Rockin Ensemble Cast in TV/ Drama and it’s star, Tyler Posey won the award for Rockin’ Actor in TV. 

The show partnered with My Life My Power, an non-profit organization founded by undefeated heavy-weight MMA fighter and WWE Million Dollar Tough Enough Champion, Daniel Puder.  In addition to anti-bullying, MLMP’s mission is to provide a positive approach, raise awareness and self-empowerment of youth through goal setting, mentoring, character building, and leadership.  For the event, celebs wore original sterling silver KARMA bracelets custom created by IB Designs, as a personal pledge against bullying.

After the show, guests enjoyed hor’devours, drinks, and dancing in the exclusive VIP after-party sponsored by Coca-Cola.  Food and beverages were provided by Polkatots Cupcakes, Marble Pop, Oogie’s Gourmet Popcorn, POPChips, Pretzel Crisps, Peace Ice Tea, and a water hydration station by HINT.  DJ Spark and 15-year old prodigy DJ KiddLuke provided endless live music to keep guests dancing on the dance floor.

We are so proud of our very own Zack Montana for taking first runner up in Disney’s NBT. He is one of the hardest working artists we know and never gives less than 150% on the stage.  Here is a little info on Zack and his story.

While taking a vocal lesson with Jonathan George, he decided that music was his passion. Jonathan included Zack in a performing troup called ” Hollywood Hipstars”…. After a 7 month break, Zack was enjoying bringing the house down at a local karaoke bar when he got a call from Jonathan George who was putting together a boy group.  After a month of rehearsals and a few live shows, Boyz Crew received a contract from Vincent Herbert of Streamline Records.

The following year and a half had The Boys Crew working with 3J Music Group and Grammy Award winning producer’s Dre’ and Vidal.

After Months of non production with Boyz Crew, Zack began working with Singer/ Songwriter for BSB Nick Carter, Singer Jen. Jen became instrumental in working with Zack vocally and producing a solo demo.

In December 2010, Zack within a one week time frame, drew interest from Producer DJ Green Lantern, Stone Hall Entertainment and Nick Cannon.

Zack then cut a solo 4 song ep in Early 2011. He was also Part of a Boys Band called East West Boys, who has been previously signed by Sony Music-Japan.

In April 2011, Zack took a general meeting with Disney and was offered to be part of Radio Disney’s Next Big Thing. He toured around the Country and played in many venues drawing a lot of popularity with pre-teens and teens across the country and even in Europe and Asia. Zack finished runner up in the 2011 Radio Disney NBT and opened for Cody Simpson at The Americana at Brand.

JG Entertainment is in search for Southern California Teen Talent for ABC Pilot Presentation.

Looking for:

• Teen Singers or Singing Groups 12-18 who have a story to tell. All Genres of music.

 *Prepare a one minute song that shows your vocal ability. Original or cover. You can sing a capella or with a guitar or with track. Have music on mp3 player or CD…preferably on an mp3 player.  Make sure your music is cut so that you can show off what you have.
